Day schools are an essential component of a strong and thriving Jewish community. Through academically challenging environments for students to become thought leaders in the wider world, these schools instill a strong foundation of Jewish values and inspiration for the next generation of leaders.

Increasing opportunities for adult Jewish education creates ongoing opportunities for learning, community building through Jewish values and motivation to give back to the community. That's why we support programs, such as the South Philadelphia Shtiebel, a modern Orthodox shul and an innovative spiritual home for many. Its Beit Midrash program has consistently offered weekly online adult Jewish education on the Talmud, Tanakh and foundations of Judaism. Texts studied are traditional but also expand to food, arts and culture to reach a diverse segment of the Jewish community.

A grant was awarded through the Jewish Federation's Weinberg Fund to JTeenCC to create a central and educational community for Jewish teenagers in Chester County. The group will provide Jewish education through experiences and weekly gatherings to an area otherwise void of Jewish education.

The Jewish Federation helps create a vibrant Jewish future for our communities locally, in Israel and around the world, while addressing crises as they emerge. This work is only possible with the generosity of community members like you.
