The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Israel initiatives are designed to encourage engagement, build cultural bonds, advocate for peace and security, and provide for those in need.

Working Together For a Stronger Israel

Enhancing our commitment to ensure safety, security and prosperity in Israel, we work closely with our Partnership2Gether region of Netivot and Sdot Negev, to support agencies that:

Reduce food insecurity and loneliness of vulnerable populations in Israel, especially among Holocaust survivors and older adults in need.
Provide education, job training and employment programs for at risk communities.
Promote diverse Jewish expressions and Jewish pluralism and connect Greater Philadelphia Jews with peers in Israel and around the world.
Ensure an infrastructure of safety that promotes resilience for those in areas afflicted by security threats or trauma.

Education on the Go

Supported by the Jewish Federation, Friends of Ofanim works with elementary school students in Netivot through weekly mobile STEM programs. A community with limited accessibility to educational enrichment activities, programs like Friends of Ofanim and StudioLabs provide children equal education opportunities, paving the way for future success for themselves and also for the community at-large.

Helping Hands

Latet Israeli Humanitarian Aid is the largest food bank in Israel which provides assistance to 60,000 families and more than 1,000 Holocaust survivors with monthly food boxes and holiday meals. Latet is supported by the Jewish Federation for its hands-on food security advocacy and care for Holocaust survivors.

Education and Exploration

Missions are a fantastic opportunity to dive deep into culture and learning from others, while building one’s own Jewish identity. The Jewish Federation’s Israel Travel Scholarship program for teens and young adults is perfect for those looking to explore Jewish heritage, identity and connection to Israel. Bucks County Jewish Festival

Bucks County Community College

Join us for the biennial Bucks County Jewish Festival! Bring your whole family, friends and neighbors for a day of fun, featuring food, music, kids activities, crafts, raffles and so much more. There will be something for everyone to enjoy. The festival will be largely outdoors (weather permitting) with some indoor activities.

JCRC Web Series with David Horovitz

Pomegranate Mural Arts Tour

All aboard! Women’s Philanthropy invites you to take a trolley ride for a private, guided mural arts tour of Center City. "Hadar Goldin - The Final Peace" Exhibit

June 1 - 17, 2022

Kaiserman JCC

Experience the early works of military hero, Hadar Goldin, an IDF soldier killed by Hamas during Operation Protective Edge. Hadar was a talented artist and writer, and his work has been presented to the United Nations and shown through traveling exhibits around the world. The Kaiserman JCC and Jewish Federation, in partnership with the Consulate General of Israel in New York and the Hadar Goldin Foundation, are bringing the exhibit to the community for two weeks in June. Tour the exhibit or join additional programming for an even more enriched experience.
