Carrie's connection to the Greater Philadelphia Jewish community began in her hometown of Jenkintown with family Shabbat dinners, services at Beth Sholom Synagogue, summers at Ramah, youth group programs, like Kadima and USY, and studying at Gratz Hebrew High School. Active in Hillel at her alma mater of Brandeis University, Carrie went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Aging/Health and Community Organization from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Work and carried her passion of Jewish life and community into professional roles at Hillel, JFCS and Gratz College.

Carrie is thrilled to continue as the Kehillah Coordinator of nearly two years in Bucks County, where she lives, and to begin her new role as the Northeast Kehillah Coordinator, a neighborhood where she spent many of her teen years.

Do you know a young couple interested in exploring the history, tradition and identity of Israel together? As part of our efforts to build an inclusive community, the Jewish Federation partners with Honeymoon Israel to provide an incredible, highly subsidized trip to Israel for couples made up of at least one Jewish partner. With nearly half of the marriages in the Philadelphia area being interfaith, this is a wonderful way to welcome young couples into the Jewish community and inspire them to incorporate Jewish values into their lives. If you know someone that may be interested, encourage them to find out more by joining us at an informational happy hour at Kite & Key on September 1st from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. or virtually on September 13th from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

You’re invited to a special community cleanup day at Har Nebo, one of the region’s oldest and largest cemeteries. Help honor all of those buried at the cemetery by raking, picking up trash, and clipping overgrown vines. The volunteer day is in partnership with the Friends of Jewish Cemeteries, a special initiative of the Jewish Federation to find long-term solutions to repair our region’s Jewish cemeteries and reconnect our community to its deep local roots.
