As antisemitism continues to plague our communities, we are reminded of the Holocaust and what happens when hate is allowed to spread. The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia keeps our promise to never forget by caring for Holocaust survivors and educating the next generation to ensure that history does not repeat itself.

Meet Sultana
Sultana is a Holocaust survivor who lives in a small house in Kiryat Gat, Israel. She suffers from osteoporosis, heart disease and mobility issues. Due to increased falls, Sultana was unable to use the stairs to access her backyard. Latet - Aid for Life, supported by the Jewish Federation, recently created a ramp for Sultana to use, so she can once again enjoy her yard.
Antisemitic incidents in Pennsylvania increased by 65% in 2022, according to a recent report from the Anti-Defamation League. Last year, there were 34 incidents in Philadelphia, 24 in Montgomery County, and 5 in Bucks County.
Stand Up to Jewish Hate
The Jewish Federation recently launched the #StandUpToJewishHate campaign in partnership with the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism. Designed to mobilize all Americans, especially non-Jews, to combat antisemitism, community members are encouraged to support this national initiative that raises awareness of current-day Jewish hate by sharing the

Never Forget
The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of the Jewish Federation combats antisemitic activities and advocates on behalf of local Jewish individuals and institutions that have been targets of bias and harassment. Through education and advocacy, the JCRC brings awareness to the atrocities of the past and creates a more just future.
"The JCRC Holocaust programming really resonates with me, because my wife’s parents are survivors and lost family members during this tragic time. I feel a personal connection and a sacred obligation to keep their memories alive and to teach the lessons of the Holocaust."
- Bart H., Chair, JCRC Holocaust Education and Remembrance Committee
